4.0 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HITS GHANA.

     A moderate earth tremor was felt in most parts of Accra,Ghana's capital late on Wednesday evening.



      In a research carried out by the United States Geological survey,the seismic movement reached magnitude 4.0 which makes it one of the strongest earth quake in Ghana in years.

      The earthquake occurred at about 10:40pm local time,on June 24,2020 at the western part of the city.It occurred three times in the space of ten minutes.
         The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA),had warned that series of tremor occurrences in parts of the greater Accra region over the years is a signal of a looming earthquake of greater  magnitude in future.
              On March 24,2018 a similar earth tremor that measured 4.0 on the higher scale was recorded in Ghana,few month later December 9,2018 another one occurred in Accra.
