HON.AHMED WASE COMMEND PRESIDENT BUHARI OVER OIL EXPLORATION IN WASE.

        The Deputy Speaker of the  House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Ahmed Idris Wase on Monday has commended president Muhammadu Buhari for the  commencement of exploration of oil and gas in Wase and Kanan local government areas of Plateau state.

        In a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, the Deputy speaker said the exploration was a direct result of President Buhari's directive to the NNPC in 2015, to resume oil exploration activities in some of the country's inland basins.


      He added that the oil discovery in the areas will accelerate development in the country and particularly to the north central, urging people and government of Plateau state to cooperate with NNPC for the benefit of the state and the country at large.

       Wase further commended the group managing director of NNPC, Male Kyari for mobilising modern equipment to the area that has resulted in the identification of high quantities of hydrocarbons, particularly in Wase and Kanam local government areas.

        Our correspondent, Haruna Umar reports that the Deputy speaker finally urged the NNPC staff saddle with the responsibility of carrying out the task to be thorough and clinical in their assignments.
