FG TO 'RE-OPEN SCHOOLS',LIFTS BAN ON INTERSTATE TRAVELS.

        The Federal government has extended the phase two of the eased lock down by four weeks,but partially lifted the ban on inter-state movement,this was made known to the public by the chairman of the presidential task force PTF on COVID-19 and the Secretary to the government of the federation SGF,Boss Mustapha at a briefing on Monday 29 June,2020.

     Announcing the measures, the SGF said "I am pleased to inform you that Mr president has carefully considered the 5th interim reports of the PTF and has accordingly approved that,with the exception of some modifications to be expatiated upon later,the phase two of the lock down be extended by another four weeks from Tuesday June 30,2020 to the midnight of Monday 27,July 2020.


   "Specifically however,the following measures shall either remain in place or come into effects,maintaining the current phase of the national response for another four weeks inline with modifications to be expatiated by the national coordinator.

"Permission of movement across state borders Only outside curfew hours with effect from 1st of July 2020.

   He also said that within the extended phase,there will also be a safe reopening of schools to allow graduating students back to classes.

According to him "Enforcement of laws around non-pharmaceutical inventions by states,in particular,the use of face masks in public places;safe reopening of schools to allow students in graduating classes resume in-person in preparation for examinations and safe reopening of domestic aviation services as soon as practicable".
