He announced this at a news conference in Sokoto.According to him,as of Friday,5 May 2020,there were no patients at the isolation centre in the state.
The first index case of Covid-19 in the state was recorded on April 19,with 731 samples collected,while 655 contacts completed the 14 days of follow up.
The chairman,Dr.Inname who is also the state's commissioner for health explained that the committee received 839 alarts from across the state and that all of them were investigated.
He added that the patients were from eight local government areas of the state.Men constituted 85 percent of the patients population.
He said that the committee activities,which includes testing of patients would continue,stressing that any person tested positive would be taken to the isolation centre.
