COURT IN BORNO JAILS WOMAN 16 YEARS FOR DEFRAUDING 194 WIDOWS.

        The Borno state high court in a judgement on Tuesday by Justice Umaru Fadawu,said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission proved beyond reasonable doubts the fraud charges against one,Ramat Mohammed.
   

      Ramat Mohammed also known as Gaddafi,had according to investigation defraud 194 widows of Nine hundred and Eighty one thousand eight hundred Naira (981,800),in a fake food scheme.
   

       Mohammed was said to have,in the name of a non-governmental organisation,Action Against Hunger,sold fake food collection cards to 194 widows.

        According to EFCC in a statement,the convict carried out the fraud in Auno town,Konduga local government area of the state.

       The judge sentenced her to 16  years imprisonment to each of the two counts charges,but said the sentences would run concurrently.

     
      The statement quoted the judge saying "The court hereby sentence you to 8 years imprisonment on count one.You're hereby sentenced to eight imprisonment on count two and the years to run concurrently".

         "The court orders you Ramat Mohammed also known as Gaddafi to pay the aggregate sum of N981,800 to the 194 women of Fissabi-Ilillah Islamic school or nine years in default"

        "The prison term shall run consecutively".he added
