The Italian cup final took center-stage yesterday with Napoli holding the nerve to claim a first major trophy in six seasons by beating Juventus 4-2 in a penalty shootout.
The match ended in a goalless draw after full ninety minutes plus extra-time of play.Arkadiusz Milik scored the winning spot-kick after Paulo Dybala had seen his first saved, before teammate,Danilo blazed the second over.
Juventus coach Maurizo Sarri blamed the defeat to lack of sharpnes from his attackers and according to him ,Ronaldo and his other attackers are lacking the fitness required after not playing competitive matches for three months.
"He is in the same shape as others, like Paulo Dybala abd Douglas Coasta,he is lacking the sharpness to do what works for him".he told Rai.
"I didn't say Much to the players after the game,I was angry and disappointed just like them,so at this moments it'sbest to stay silent,we"ll talk better tomorrow".
Juventus still has the Seria-A title to fight for and hopes will be that players return to full shape after slow restart to season.
