FG TO 'RE-OPEN SCHOOLS',LIFTS BAN ON INTERSTATE TRAVELS.
The Federal government has extended the phase two of the eased lock down by four weeks,but partially lifted the ban on inter-state movement,this was made known to the public by the chairman of the presidential task force PTF on COVID-19 and the Secretary to the government of the federation SGF,Boss Mustapha at a briefing on Monday 29 June,2020.
Announcing the measures, the SGF said "I am pleased to inform you that Mr president has carefully considered the 5th interim reports of the PTF and has accordingly approved that,with the exception of some modifications to be expatiated upon later,the phase two of the lock down be extended by another four weeks from Tuesday June 30,2020 to the midnight of Monday 27,July 2020.

4.0 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HITS GHANA.

The conditions are contained in a 36-page documents titled "Guidelines for schools and learning facilities reopening after COVID-19 pandemic closure",submitted to the Senate by the minister of education,Mallam Adamu Adamu.
He noted "Given that COVID-19 maybe with us for a while,the guidelines also highlight the urgent need to maintain and improve upon distance learning programmes".

HON.AHMED WASE COMMEND PRESIDENT BUHARI OVER OIL EXPLORATION IN WASE.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Ahmed Idris Wase on Monday has commended president Muhammadu Buhari for the commencement of exploration of oil and gas in Wase and Kanan local government areas of Plateau state.
In a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, the Deputy speaker said the exploration was a direct result of President Buhari's directive to the NNPC in 2015, to resume oil exploration activities in some of the country's inland basins.

2. The number of positive cases of COVID-19 continues to increase at an alarming rate in our State.
3. Indeed, with a total of 866 positive cases, out of 2572 tested samples, Rivers State is gradually becoming the next epicenter of the virus in the south – south region of the country.
4. Within this period, we have also recorded 30 deaths, including prominent persons, as a result of the virus while 356 persons have recovered and been discharged from our treatment centres.
5. As the number of new cases and deaths continue to increase, there is no more denying that coronavirus is both dangerous and deadly. This is the hard truth.

FEMALE STUDENT OF FUOYE DIES IN LOVER'S ROOM.
There is palpable fear and tension in Iree community of Boripe Local Government in the state of Osun with the discovery of the dead body of a 22-year old student of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, identified as Faderera.
According to sources who confirmed the incident, the deceased who is a 300 level student of Mathematics Education had visited her boyfriend, Malik living in an hostel along Koko campus of the institution in company of her friend, Kemisola Adewusi, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
It was gathered that Malik who was not known to be a student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree bought cooked rice for his visitors on Tuesday morning before the incident happened.
